Joe Joe began his career as an Officer in the US Army Corp of Engineers. While stationed in Washington, DC, he attended George Washington University. After completing US Army flight training, he flew assault helicopters in Vietnam where he was awarded numerous honors including the DFC (Distinguished Flying Cross), the Air Medal (51 awards), the Bronze Star, and the Cross of Gallantry with Crossed Palms. Joe’s final assignment was at Holloman AFB, on the White Sands Missile Range, as a Test Pilot testing and evaluating new systems and equipment for US Army aircraft. After almost seven years of distinguished military service, he left active duty to continue a career in aviation. For the next 27 years, Joe operated aircraft under FAR Part 121 (Domestic, Flag and Supplemental Air Carriers) and Part 135 (Commuter and On Demand Air Carriers). He concluded his aviation career as owner and Director of Operations of a jet charter service, where he developed software to automate and calculate weight and balances, trip quoting, flight planning, maintenance recordkeeping, and authored aviation Standards including, AAIP’s (Approved Aircraft Inspection Programs) and MEL’s (Minimum Equipment Lists).

Joe then joined an international printer and label manufacturer as Special Projects Manager. His accomplishments included creating an e‐commerce web site, developing and maintaining the company's SQL Database, designing a CRM (Customer Resource Management) program for their direct sales group, and developing a software program for warehouse management, including shipping and real time inventory. In addition, Joe educated and trained company personnel in the mechanics and application of these programs.

As a result of Joe’s previous work with aviation standards and his knowledge of the barcode/label industry, he was invited to join the ANSI MH10 Standards Committee.

Joe presently serves as Secretary on the ANSI MH10 SC8 Committee and, in addition, he is the Vice‐Chair of the INCITS (International Committee for Information Technology Standards) T6. This is the Technical Committee (T6) for RFID Technology that was established to develop non‐contact interface protocol standards for electronic transponders and interrogators for business and military logistics applications.

Armed with years of experience and expertise in developing systems that increase efficiency and productivity, Joe formed Allied AIDC LLC to provide companies with hardware, software, supplies, integration, consultation and training services in AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture), including bar coding, RFID, InfoDots, Contact Memory Buttons and RF Data Communications.
